Hansen ]], he talks about how the trickster figure is someone who lives in that in between, and so by definition, there potentially closer to weird things, but also in order to be in between you have to be further from power and society’s higher status people- he talks about how when there is a lot of change in a culture, paranormal stuff crops up. So for example, he talks about how when the Soviet Union broke up, there was a ton of paranormal activity in Eastern Europe
